#1232: El Puente: Muralistas

El-Puente-The-Many-Shades-of-Green

Muralistas, green education and community all come together to create a more sustainable Williamsburg, and a more sustainable planet. This week’s program is the second capturing the active neighborhood programming of El Puente, a long-time South Williamsburg community organization. City Councilwoman Diana Reyna, P.S. 84 Principal Sereida Rodriguez, El Puente artist and educator Joe Matunis, and many students and others gathered one hot summer afternoon at the school on Berry St. and South 1st Street to create a new mural. They also gave us insight into the programs and initiatives of El Puente, which moves to build community involvement and awareness of culture and the environment.
